Paul P. Gladfelty
Paul P. Gladfelty is President of Gladfelty Government Relations. The Sacramento based firm, established in 1986, specializes in government relations consulting and advocacy for corporations and trade associations on issues affecting California's business community. Mr. Gladfelty is also a principal partner in The Apex Group. This partnership, established in 1992, provides public affairs and advocacy to corporations on state legislative, regulatory, and trade issues. The Apex Group serves as an adjunct to the services provided by Gladfelty Government Relations. A veteran of Sacramento politics, Mr. Gladfelty has advocated the interests of many Fortune 500 companies on a wide range of issues including health care, insurance, environmental quality, construction law, land use and labor relations. He also founded Californians For Compensation Reform, a broad-based coalition of employers, local governments and insurance companies working successfully to revamp the State's workers' compensation system. Before establishing Gladfelty Government Relations, Mr. Gladfelty was Vice President and Chief Advocate for the California Manufacturers Association (CMA). In this capacity, he directed all lobbying activities of the association and managed a staff of seven full-time advocates. Prior to joining CMA in 1977, Mr. Gladfelty was a lobbyist for the Service Employees International Union. Mr. Gladfelty received his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from California State University, Sacramento. He is also a member of the Institute of Governmental Advocates. |
